Прекрасная наша планета, при полном отсутствии покрова из почвы, лесов, воды. Захватывает дух. Песчаное море Эрг Афрафир, Западная Сахара (Марокко). Несколько фото из мест, название которых даже интернет почти не знает.
Our gorgeous planet, totally naked in the absense of soil, forest and water. Breathtaking. The sand dunes of Erg Afrafir, in Western Sahara (Morocco). Some photos from a place whose name the internet hardly knows.
Дюны Афрафир - почти все серпообразные, обращенные вогнутой стороной на юг. На фото - машина внутри серпа. В этом месте мы остановились на ночлег.
The Dunes of Afrafir are mainly crescent shaped, the concave side facing south. Our car on the photo inside a crescent, parked for the night.
Вогнутая сторона серпа. Кажется, что эта почти вертикальная стена песка защитит от ветра. Не тут-то было. Ветер огибает край дюны сверху вниз, и спрятаться невозможно. На фото его не видно, но он есть. It may seem that the almost vertical wall of a crescent dune is good shelter from the wind. Not at all. Winds attack the dune from the outside then go over the edge and bash you furiously from above. The wind is here in this picture even if you can't see it.
Красивые формы на вершине большой дюны. Nicely shaped top of a large dune.
Утро. Солнце с юго-востока, низкое - приятные для глаза тона. Morning. South-easterly sunlight, low and pleasant to the eye.
